You can drive right up to this stunning view of the World’s End Loyalsock Canyon then explore the massive boulders of the Rock Garden.
The Loyalsock Canyon Vista at World’s End State Park is a majestic view of the gorge and Loyalsock creek below. It is easily accessible by car making it an excellent spot for young children and people of all abilities to revel in the beauty of creation.
After taking in the canyon vista, continue the adventure by heading across the parking lot to the Rock Garden. There are many paths up, around, and between the massive boulders. The rock garden is largely concentrated in one area, but there are other formations back in the woods, such as at 41.46173, -76.57429.
While you are in the area, check out Mineral Springs waterfall at 41.44898, -76.57614, near where the Loyalsock trail crosses Mineral Spring Road. The waterfall is visible from the road and there is a path allowing you to get closer. We encountered a mama black bear and four cubs near Mineral Spring Falls, but they wanted nothing to do with us and took off up the gorge with incredible speed and dexterity. I wish I could move uphill like that!

There are walkways and spots for picnics next to the gorge and a latrine on the other side of the parking lot.
Parking is at 41.46268, -76.57526.
You can get to the Loyalsock Canyon Vista from the north, east, and west by taking Rt.154 to Mineral Spring Rd. (near the World’s End campground) then turning left onto Cold Run Rd.
From the south, Take World’s End Rd. to Shanerburg Rd. to Cold Spring Rd.
There is no cell service in the area, so we recommend downloading any necessary maps in advance of your trip.
